CLONEA: Adult & juvenile Mediterranean Gulls @ Ballinclamper this evening. (MC)

DUNGARVAN:  2 Spotted Redshanks (1st-winter & adult in advanced moult) at Ballyneety (CF).

BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Adult light-phase Arctic Skua, 1 Manx Shearwater, 80 Sandwich Terns & 60 Guillemots W (seawatch 07:45-09:00); on land, 3 White Wagtails, 5 Wheatears & 5 Chiffchaffs (DS).

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  4 Common Sandpipers at Clohernagh (").


WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2012

CLONEA STRAND:  LITTLE RINGED PLOVER again at Ballinclamper, at 18:20, then flew & appeared to land at Ballinard; calling continuously (MC).

DUNGARVAN:  Spotted Redshank at Ballyneety, in front of Fraher field @ 20:25 (DC, MC); Wood Sandpiper & 5 Green Sandpiper again at Killongford pool, Common Sandpiper & juvenile Ruff on main estuary, large passage of hirundines all day today (CF).
